Top Shots - Levels 1-4

 

Juggling

Steps to perform

Inside a 5m x 5m area throw the ball into the air and juggle the ball using any part of your body except your hands or arms.  Juggle the ball and catch it again to complete the attempt.

Score to achieve

L1: 6 x single touch ball juggles out of 10 attempts
L2:
6 x two touch juggles out of 10 attempts
L3:
9 x two touch juggles out of 10 attempts
L4:
9 x three or more touch juggles out of 10 attempts

Kicking

Steps to perform

Bounce and kick the ball into a target area between 5m x 5m and 10m x 10m in size from a distance of approximately 5 -10 metres away.  The ball must not touch the ground before it enters the target area.

Score to achieve

L1: 6 hits from 10 attempts, 5m from 10m x 10m target
L2:
6 hits from 10 attempts, 8m from 8m x 8m target
L3:
8 hits from 10 attempts, 10m from 7m x 7m target
L4:
9 hits from 10 attempts – 10m from 5m x 5m target

Heading

Steps to perform

Start with a soft and appropriate sized ball in your hands inside a 5m x 5m area.  Throw the ball less than 1m above your head, then head the ball and catch it again.

Score to achieve

L1: 3 consecutive throw, head and catch routines
L2:
6 consecutive throw, head and catch routines
L3:
8 consecutive throw, double head and catch routines
L4:
10 consecutive throw, double head and catch routines

Dribbling

Steps to perform

Set up a straight line of 6 markers, 2m apart.  Dribble the ball in and out of the markers without touching the markers or stopping the ball.  To return, run with the ball at your feet and stop inside the 1m x 1m square.

Score to achieve

L1: 1 successful run without touching the markers
L2:
3 consecutive runs without touching the markers
L3:
5 consecutive runs without touching the markers
L4:
7 consecutive runs without touching the markers 

Controlling

Steps to perform

A bouncing ball is thrown underarm towards you by the coach who is 5-10m away.  Stop the ball from passing you using any part of your body except your hands and arms.  Move the ball to the side and within two more touches pass the ball accurately back to the coach.

Score to achieve

L1: 3+ successful control and passes in succession
L2:
6+ successful control and passes in succession
L3:
8+ successful control and passes in succession
L4:
10+ successful control and passes in succession

Passing

Steps to perform

The coach rolls the ball to you from 5-10m away, within 2 touches pass the ball to the coach.  The ball must travel between 2 markers, 2m apart, which are placed between you and the coach.

Score to achieve

L1: 6 x 5m passes from 10 attempts, preferred foot
L2:
6 x 8m passes from 10 attempts, preferred foot
L3:
8 x 10m passes from 10 attempts, preferred foot
L4:
8 x 10m passes from 10 attempts, 4 with each foot 

Shooting

Steps to perform

At any angle dribble the ball in and out of 4 cones placed 1m apart and 15-10m away from a goal.  As soon as you have dribbled past the last marker shoot to score a goal.

Score to achieve

L1: 6 goals from 10 attempts 5m from 2m wide goal
L2:
6 goals from 10 attempts 8m from 2m wide goal
L3:
8 goals from 10 attempts 10m from 5m wide goal
L4:
8 goals from 10 attempts 10m from 5m wide goal – 4 goals with each foot
