Code of Conduct

Membership & Fees

  1. Membership will not be accepted unless the parent / guardian agrees to the terms and conditions of the Ringwood Club.

  2. All fees are due on registration.  As part of the registration fee, there is an administration fee which is non-refundable for all players registered with the FFV.

  3. Once registered, all players and their guardians automatically become members of Ringwood City Soccer Club.

Parents and Players responsibilities

  1. Do not drop off and drive away BEFORE checking your child is at the correct venue with the Team Manager/Coach.  Be prompt when collecting your child – the club, its coaches and team managers are NOT babysitters.

  2. In some grades it will be necessary for the club to grade players according to their ability, this is for the benefit of the players and allows them to compete against teams of similar abilities

  3. It is Parents responsibility and common courtesy to inform your Team Manager or Coach if your child is unavailable for training sessions or games.  Failure to do so can result in a player not being selected for the next game.

  4. Games involving 5 - 10 year olds (Small Sided Football) rotate players equally during games.

  5. Under 11 to Under 18 squads (Juniors) have a maximum of fifteen (15) players per team.

  6. If more than fifteen (15) players apply for registration in an age group, a composite team may be formed.  In juniors, the Junior Club’s Coaching Panel will select a squad.  Where it is not possible to create teams for that age group within the targeted team size, registrations will be declined in the following order.

  1. Registrations received after the last advertised registration date.

  2. Players with registration fees that have not been paid by the final grading day (and at the discretion of the Committee in the event of financial hardship).

  3. Based on previous attendance at training sessions, grading days and participation in the club’s activities (such as training teams, skills clinics etc).

  1. Team compositions may be adjusted at the beginning of the season to accommodate registrations.  Your child may be selected to play in a team different from his / her friend.

  2. Where there are two (2) teams in any one age group, each coach will be required to nominate players to assist the other team if required.

  3. Rosters for canteen, line marking, erection of nets, oranges, drink bottles and laundering of uniforms, will be issued to all parents by the Team Manager before the season commences.  If you cannot take your turn it is your responsibility to make alternative arrangements and to inform the Team Manager of roster changes.  RCJSC holds two working bee’s per year, one at the commencement of the season, to erect goal posts and mark the pitches and the other at the end of the season before the hand over of keys to the cricket club.  Your help is greatly appreciated!

  4. A forty dollar ($40) non-refundable parent contribution levy is payable per family at time of registration.  This levy is to help with the running and maintenance of the club including the cleaning of the club rooms.

  5. All equipment remains the property of RCJSC.  Individual shirts, balls, and other equipment are not to be removed.

 Complaints and Disciplinary Procedures

  1. Direct your complaints to the Team Manager on training nights, not on match days.  If further action is necessary, complaints must be sent in writing to the Club Secretary for the committee to review.

  2. If a club member or player breaches normal acceptable standards of behaviour, such as bad language, vandalism, theft, abusive behaviour or conduct unbecoming a member of the club, that person may be called upon to appear before the committee.

  3. The Club reserves the right to suspend or expel any member or player who fails to abide by the rules, regulations and codes of behaviour, as published by the Ringwood City Junior Soccer Club and displayed on the Football Federation Victoria web site (www.footballfedvic.com.au).

  4. No player, parent, coach or manager is to have contact with the Football Federation Victoria on club matters without the permission of the Club President or Secretary.
